Daddy is a class apart, inside out.
The latest interior shots of the All-New Scorpio-N has been released by Mahindra & Mahindra, and it looks quite an upgrade from its predecessors. Based on the pictures, second row captain seats for a 6 seater or 7 seater layout could be expected. Mahindra is quite confident in positioning Scorpio-N to have the highest command seating in the segment, as seen in their promo videos.
The dashboard appears to have a fresh look & feel with duo-tone colours, plastic trims look superior; however we need to wait until the launch to understand the fit & finish, grab handles provided on A-Pillar could be useful on bumpy roads or off-roads, steering wheel has mounted controls with an airbag, Mahindra 'twin peaks' badge sits prominent at the centre, we can see some ergonomics for a better grip.
The AC vents, infotainment, control buttons and knobs on the console looks composed and neat. Brushed aluminium is being used subtly, making it look classy. Scorpio-N gets an 8- inch touchscreen infotainment system to give a connected car experience similar to XUV700. Speedometer looks decent with no major highlights when compared to its elder brother.
The infotainment will be powered by AdrenoX and the interface displays various profiles that could be set in the system with specific settings saved to each profile. We have seen this feature in Netflix, Amazon and other OTT platforms, however it would be interesting to have it in a vehicle where an individual can select the profile and the AC temperature, audio settings, audio source, comfortable seating, convenient rear view mirror focus is automatically aligned. Sony 3D surround sound system could be expected, but the number of speakers might depend on the variant. Duo-tone leatherette fabrics for the seats looks quite up-market. Overall the interior of the All-New Scorpio-N looks great, more details to be discovered after the launch.
